I started in Product Marketing at Vauxhall Motors, sitting with brand managers on price positioning and competitive sales mix. That year taught me the thing I've built a career on: a campaign is only as good as the thinking underneath it, and the thinking has to be evidenced.
Five years in Management Consulting at KPMG sharpened that thinking: analysing data, building people and communication strategies, and translating complexity into something clients could actually act on.
Today, I work as a Product Marketing Manager at First Bank of Nigeria, where I am also in charge of media buying across out-of-home platforms, agency and vendor negotiation, and campaigns that have to be compelling and compliant at the same time. Throughout my time in this role, I have learnt that regulation isn't the enemy of good marketing; it is simply a constraint that forces you to be specific.
Outside work, I lead Communications and Public Relations for my church, running a volunteer team of designers, writers, photographers and social media managers.
I'm also PMP certified, which is less of a line on a CV than a working habit: scope agreed up front, dependencies mapped, stakeholders told before they have to ask, and a launch date that holds.
What you get: someone who does the analysis before the creative, negotiates hard with vendors, reads the compliance guidance properly, and would rather beat a target than explain one.
